Na Jene / Rosai

by Erica Belli

I saw them walking the city with their polaroids hanging on their neck, selling roses and instant portraits to passers in the streets. I wondered how they saw things and if they ever pause and reflect on how the photograph.

Do they just click based on their instinct or do they chose the setting?
What kind of iconography must they be used to?
I tried to find out their personal vision, a way to show the mas individuals again. I asked for a self portrait while on the job and I was the one pressing the shutter button and following their directions.

I was stunned by their choice of posing and location, and more over by their serious poses. And as artists do, I had them signing their own polaroid.
